Tips for writing a good MBA Optional Essay
The optional essay is not a required essay and is only an optional essay. Have good reasons to attempt one. If you need to explain a "extenuating circumstance" as wanted by the school, then probably you need to. Trying to explain a negative aspect of your profile like a low score or a gap in employment, unless asked, for is unnecessary. No explanation is good enough to cheer up a failure.
