Minnesota Carlson MBA Application Essays

The personal essays are an opportunity for us to get to know you better. Your answers should be typed and double spaced.

This essay section of the application helps the admissions committee get to know you better as an individual. We want to admit a diverse and interesting group of students who will contribute to and benefit from the Carlson MBA program. We are interested in the experiences and qualifications that distinguish you from other applicants. Please adhere to the word limits for each question.

Essay 1. Leadership can take many forms. Please give one specific example of how you have demonstrated effective leadership in your professional life. (250-word limit)

Essay 2. What do you consider to be your most important accomplishments? Please describe one personal accomplishment and one professional accomplishment. (400-word limit)

Essay 3. Describe your short-term goals upon completing your MBA. What would be your "ideal" first job after graduation? (250-word limit)

Essay 4. Why are you applying to the Full-Time Carlson MBA Program? Why is the Carlson School a good match for your educational and professional development goals? (400-word limit)
