The Admissions Committee values clear, concise responses. The third essay may include, but is not limited to, information about your participation in any civic, business, professional, or other similar organizations. The Executive MBA Program looks for applicants with proven leadership in work, school, and community activities. We value outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, self-assurance, self-motivation, and the ability to successfully achieve a stated goal. We look closely for evidence of ethical and moral strength and the desire to be an active citizen of one’s community. We insist on a good foundation for mastering analytical concepts and look for overall academic competence. Admissions essays provide an opportunity to discuss your unique background, goals, and interests with the Admissions Committee.

Essay 1. Why are you seeking an MBA from Chicago Booth and what unique knowledge and experiences do you hope to contribute to the program? (maximum 2 pages, 12 pt. Times New Roman)

Essay 2. Chicago Booth Career Services delivers innovative educational programming, offers one-on-one coaching, provides numerous networking opportunities, and provides access to job search tools in order to support your own career management. We would like to learn more about your career strategy and objectives. Please outline your career objectives, how you hope to achieve them, and what you hope to gain from the MBA to help you achieve them? (maximum 1 page, 12 pt. Times New Roman)

Essay 3. Please describe the most challenging experience you have had working as part of a team. What made working with that particular team so challenging? What was your role in resolving the challenge and what learning did you take away? (maximum 1 page, 12 pt. Times New Roman)
