While we ask that you answer each question thoroughly, please do not exceed the specified lengths. Also keep in mind that our online application does not allow you to format the text of your responses. If you would like, you can copy and paste your responses from a text-based application (e.g., Notepad or Microsoft Word). Short Answer Essay Questions Essay 1. At Berkeley-Haas, the following four Defining Principles describe our unique culture and are exemplified in our student body. Please list one of the following principles and give a specific example(s) of how you have exemplified this in your life. (250-500 words). Please refer to the Haas website for more detailed descriptions of these Defining Principles:
A. Question the status quo Essay 2. a. What are your short term (3 to 5 years) and long term (10 + years) career goals? b. How have your professional and personal experiences prepared you to achieve these goals? c. Describe your plan to meet these goals. (250-500 words) Main Essay Question Essay 1. Please tell us about yourself and your background. The goal of this essay is to get a sense of who you are, rather than what you have achieved professionally. You may include information about your family, where you grew up, your interests, or any other people or experiences that have influenced you. (1,000 word maximum) Reapplicant Essay. Please submit a statement explaining how you have improved your candidacy since your last application. (1000 words or less) Optional Essay. Is there any other information that would be helpful to the Admissions Committee in considering your application? If the application already represents you well, do not feel obligated to answer this essay question. Application Deadline Round 1: 15 Nov 2011; Round 2: 18 Jan 2012; Round 3: 15 Mar 2012 Berkeley Haas Evening & Weekend MBA Application Essays Rewriting Charges: Rs. 31,995 ($ 800, € 535)*... Complete Charges. * 400 words has been considered for Short Essays. The package does not include re-applicant and optional essays. The above charges are applicable if you are providing the drafts. In case you require brainstorming, the additional charges would be 50% of the base and in case the essays are to be written from scratch, the additional charges would be 100% of the base. Every package availed after any single package would be 10% less than the above mentioned charge. |

In addition to substance, the short answers and main essays are evaluated for writing ability, skill in organizing and presenting thoughts, and the relevance of your answers to the questions posed.
